WIN A TRIP TO THE US FOR A TURF OR AMENITY SHOW
Your skills as a sprayer operator could win you an amazing trip to the US – with the UK’s top Amenity Sprayer Operator of the Year winning an expenses paid visit to attend one of the world’s leading turf or amenity shows.
The Amenity Sprayer Operator of the Year 2017 (ASOY) is the third year of these prestigious awards, which aim to reward top sprayer operators across the amenity industry, and to share their best practice to enhance standards for all.
The Awards, run by the Amenity Forum, are sponsored by Syngenta and ICL, and supported by BASIS.
Sprayer operators are encouraged to now enter one of three separate categories of the Award:
Successful entrants for the ASOY 2017 awards will be sent a short questionnaire to report on their spraying practices.
ASOY is designed to identify and highlight examples of best practice, along with individual practical tips and advice they have implemented, which can be shared across the industry.
A short list of finalists will be visited by a panel of independent industry specialists to award the accolade of Sprayer Operator of the Year 2017 in each category.
The overall winner across the three categories will have the option of winning:
- Flights, accommodation and entry to the GCSAA 2018, San Antonio, Texas (above), or
- Flights, accommodation and entry to GIE Expo 2018 , Louisville, Kentucky (below), or
- ICL/Syngenta products to the value of £2,000
Entry to the ASOY Awards has been entered for BASIS and BIGGA CPD scheme points.
Daniel Lightfoot, Syngenta UK Business Manager, urged more operators to get involved. "Every operator has something that will add to the experience and help others," he enthused.
"It's not about having the latest kit or biggest machine. If you can demonstrate the ability and ingenuity to consistently achieve safe and accurate application through the whole spraying process, then you are in with a chance of winning."
