Heritage Maxx is supplied in 3 litre Syngenta S-pac.

The 3-litre pack will treat 1.2 hectares at the 2.5 l/ha application rate.

The Syngenta S-pac offers many key benefits for sprayer operators and amenity turf managers including:

  • Faster to open and use
  • Robust and safer to handle
  • Quick and simple to rinse clean
  • Fully recyclable

Heritage Maxx is approved for use on all managed amenity turf and amenity grassland, including all areas of the golf course, winter sports pitches and all other fine turf surfaces.

Rate of Use
Apply Heritage Maxx at the rate of 2.5 litres per hectare, using a water volume of 125 - 1000 l/ha (see notes below for specific foliar and soil disease recommendations. For spot treatments, use 25 mls Heritage Maxx in 8 - 10 litres of water.

Turf managers may make up to four applications of Heritage Maxx per year.

Foliar Diseases Controlled
Fusarium Patch, Anthracnose, Brown Patch, Leaf Spot, and Rusts.

To fully utilise the fast uptake and movement of Heritage Maxx  for foliar disease apply during periods of active turf growth, typically from early May through to the end of October.

Treat for foliar diseases when turf is actively growing and conditions are favourable for disease infection, or at the very earliest stages of disease symptom expression. Repeat applications through the growing season according to risk and disease pressure. Use GreenCast disease prediction services to forecast periods of high risk.

Recommended application technique for foliar diseases: Syngenta Turf Foliar Nozzle, benefits include:

  • Droplet spectrum designed to maximise spray retention on the leaf
  • Optimum droplet size for leaf coverage
  • Excellent drift reduction
  • Designed to work at lower water volume, compared to conventional flat fan nozzles
  • Typical water volume giving optimum results: 200 - 250 l/ha
  • Retains spray pattern characteristics at faster operating speeds

Alternatively apply in water volume of 300 - 500 l/ha using a flat fan nozzle.

Soil Diseases Controlled
Take All Patch and Fairy Ring.

Trials have shown for the best results on soil-borne diseases make two applications of Heritage Maxx on areas susceptible to disease attacks in late spring, followed by two applications in early autumn. Aerate prior to application and tank mix with a good quality wetting agent.

The root uptake and systemic movement of Heritage Maxx  means that applications for soil diseases will also provide simultaneous protection from foliar disease attacks.

Apply in water volume of 1000 l/ha using a Syngenta Turf Foliar Nozzle, flat fan or bubble-jet type nozzle.

Spraying Equipment
Heritage Maxx may be applied with all types of spray equipment commonly used for making ground applications. Do not apply through ULV sprayers.

Resistance Management
Some turf disease pathogens are known to have developed resistance to products used repeatedly for their control. To ensure best control, Heritage Maxx should be applied at full use rates and following the detailed label guidance.

Worker Safety

Safety Precautions

(a) Operator protection
WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE GLOVES when handling the concentrate and when applying by hand-held equipment. WASH HANDS before eating and drinking and after work. IF SWALLOWED, seek medical advice immediately and showing the product label.

(b) Environmental protection
Do not contaminate water with the product or its container. Do not clean application equipment near surface water/avoid contamination via drains from farmyards and roads.

(c) Storage and disposal
Store away from seeds, fertilizers and composts. WASH OUT CONTAINER THOROUGHLY, empty washings into spray tank and dispose of safely. KEEP IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER, tightly closed, in a safe place.

Environmental

The active ingredient in Heritage Maxx - azoxystrobin - is derived from the naturally occurring fungicidal activity of forest mushrooms. A modern fungicide that has undertaken the most rigorous assessments during its development and registration, Heritage Maxx has a very favourable environmental fate profile and has:

√ PASSED risk assessments on birds or mammals

√ PASSED risk assessments on beneficial insects

√ PASSED risk assessments on soil organisms

√ PASSED risk assessments on aquatic species

Azoxystrobin is moderately persistent in soil and has a moderate mobility in soil. Use of Heritage Maxx acording to label recommendations presents a low risk to groundwater.

The environmental profile makes Heritage Maxx highly suitable for use within Integrated Turf Management Programmes.

Always apply in accordance with the Amenity Best Practice for Pesticide Application.
