DACONIL TURF is a broad spectrum, contact fungicide for the control of: Fusarium Patch or Pink Snow Mould (Microdochium nivale), Dollar Spot (Sclerotinia homoeocarpa), Red Thread (Laetisaria fuciformis), and Anthracnose (Colletotrichum graminicola) on turf.

Areas of Use

• DACONIL TURF controls many major fungal diseases of fine turf such as golf greens, golf tees, bowling greens, cricket squares and ornamental lawns. It is also suitable for use on extensive grass such as golf fairways and sports pitches. DACONIL TURF is only recommended for treatment on established turf.

Diseases Controlled

• DACONIL TURF is a broad spectrum fungicide for the control of many major diseases affecting grasses and especially those attacking intensively managed ornamental or amenity turf.
• Being primarily a contact fungicide DACONIL TURF is best applied as a preventative treatment when the disease is at a very early stage of development. Where possible diseases should be positively identified. A knowledge of previous disease occurrence will also aid decisions regarding fungicide treatment. Although DACONIL TURF can be applied at any time of year, spring and autumn are usually when conditions are most favourable for disease development and when treatment is most appropriate.

Other information

• Some diseases can quickly damage turf. Treatment at a late stage of disease development will be more difficult and can leave bare soil patches needing renovation. Use preventative sprays, especially against diseases which occur in winter and early spring. If diseases recur regularly, check management practices, especially fertilizer treatment as this can affect disease occurrence if either in excess or deficient.

Restrictions

• DACONIL TURF is only for use on established turf.
• DACONIL TURF must only be applied using standard vehicle-mounted spray equipment or pedestrian controlled sprayers. Do not apply with a knapsack sprayer.
• DO NOT MOW within 24 hours after treatment.
• Do not irrigate for 24 hours after treatment or until the spray has thoroughly dried on the grass leaves.
• Do not tank mix with other pesticide sprays, surfactants or liquid fertilizers.

Application rate and diseases controlled

Preventative treatment

• Application at first signs of disease: Apply 300 ml of DACONIL TURF in a minimum of 5 litres of water per 100 sq. m. (30 litres per ha in 500 litres of water). Repeat at 3 - 6 week intervals if re-infection occurs, for the control of: Fusarium Patch or Pink Snow Mould (Microdochium nivale), Dollar Spot (Sclerotinia homoeocarpa), Red Thread (Laetisaria fuciformis), and Anthracnose (Colletotrichum graminicola).

Curative Treatment

• Application to established disease: Apply 300 ml of DACONIL TURF in a minimum of 5 litres water per 100 sq. m. (30 litres per ha in 500 litres of water). Repeat at 1 - 2 week intervals as necessary for the control of Dollar Spot (Sclerotinia homoecarpa), and for the reduction of Red Thread (Laetisaria fuciformis). Note: DACONIL TURF is not recommended for the curative treatment of Fusarium Patch or Pink Snow Mould (Microdochium nivale), and Anthracnose (Colletotrichum graminicola).

Compatibility

The following tank mixes have been tested for physical compatibility with DACONIL TURF at recommended rates of use and will mix in the sprayer tank. No tests have been undertaken on crop safety or product performance therefore, use is at the user's own risk. Water Volume and BCPC Spray Quality

Mixing

• Shake container thoroughly before use. Half fill spray tank with clean water, add the required quantity of DACONIL TURF and agitate to ensure complete mixing

• Maximum individual dose: 300 ml product per 100 sq. m.

DO NOT CONTAMINATE Surface waters and ditches with chemical or used container.

• LERAP B
• DO NOT ALLOW DIRECT SPRAY from horizontal boom sprayers to fall within 5 m of the top of the bank of a static or flowing waterbody, unless a Local Environmental Risk Assessment for Pesticides (LERAP) permits a narrower buffer zone, or within 1 m of the top of a ditch which is dry at the time of application. Aim spray away from water.
• This product qualifies for inclusion within the Local Environmental Risk Assessment for Pesticides (LERAP) Scheme. Before each spraying operation from a horizontal boom sprayer, either a LERAP must be carried out in accordance with PSD's published guidance or the statutory buffer zone must be maintained. The results of the LERAP must be recorded and kept available for inspection for three years.
• Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with chemical or used container. Do not dispose of waste into sewer. Where possible recycling is preferred to disposal or incineration. If recycling is not practicable, dispose of in compliance with local regulations.
• Contaminated packaging: Empty remaining contents. Triple rinse containers. Empty containers should be taken for local recycling or waste disposal. Do not re-use empty containers.
