New Additions to GreenCast

Based on your feedback and comments we have been working to further improve the services available within GreenCast but also to imporve the overall performance of the site. A list of some of the more interesting modifications are listed below.

Disease Risk

New high risk Fusarium Patch model developed to take account of higher severity seen in Poa annua dominated turfs or shady situations and lower severity seen in Fescue dominated turfs or open situations.

Turf Models 

New Grass Growing Potential model indicates not only turf growing status but also is a guide to use of systemic fungicide products such as Heritage or timing of Primo Maxx in the autumn

Weather Data - 13 years of history & soil temperature

New, or is that old?, historical weather records for your location from 1994 onwards, so now possible to compare to previous years or long term average on a weekly or monthly basis. New Soil temperatures forecast as a map in "Disease Maps" and as a table in "Weather Forecast".

Search Function

You can now search the full contents of the GreenCast site using the newly installed search function. It works the same way as Google search!

New Login, Password request and Account validation

To improve security we have updated the account validation system so that on first time entering the new site you will need to confirm your details and where necessary activate the account from your e-mail account.
