BTME 2016 - #SYNGENTA CHALLENGE WINNERS - PLAYABILITY THROUGH RESEARCH
BTME once again proved to be a great experience for greenkeepers and turf managers - and none more so than the winners of the #SYNGENTA CHALLENGE golf simulator (details below).
Bringing the game of golf directly into BTME on the Syngenta stand reinforced that every action by greenkeepers is designed to enhance playability for golfers.
For Syngenta, that means the company's huge investment in R&D and support is focussed on products, techniques and new innovation to help greenkeepers to improve turf quality and playability.
RESEARCH ON SHOW
On the stand you had the chance to see how QUALIBRA has proven to improve the firmness and consistency of greens, by moving surface water deeper - but then retaining it in the root zone to maintain plant health and utilisation of water and nutrient resources.
Research with a direct impact on playability included PRIMO MAXX science to improve greens' surface speed, smoothness and day-long consistency. Furthermore, how PRIMO MAXX fairway programmes directly produce the conditions Syngenta market research has shown is most favoured by players.
Also, it's from the BTME feedback of greenkeepers' experiences that can initiate new research into techniques for PRIMO MAXX use later in the season, or even through the winter, that can be tried and tested for the future.
NEW GREENCAST TURF APP
BTME gave the first opportunity to download the GreenCast Turf App - designed to maintain all your spray records simply and effectively in one place, as well as make the whole application process faster, more accurate and safer. If you didn't download it on the stand, you can still get it for free here:
