  • Sports turf using boom sprayer & hand held equipment
  • Landscape & Industrial using vehicle mounted equipment
  • Landscape & Industrial using hand held equipment

Successful entrants for the ASOY 2017 awards will be sent a short questionnaire to report on their spraying practices.

ASOY is designed to identify and highlight examples of best practice, along with individual practical tips and advice they have implemented, which can be shared across the industry.

A short list of finalists will be visited by a panel of independent industry specialists to award the accolade of Sprayer Operator of the Year 2017 in each category.

Daniel Lightfoot, Syngenta UK Business Manager, urged more operators to get involved. "Every operator has something that will add to the experience and help others," he enthused.

"It's not about having the latest kit or biggest machine. If you can demonstrate the ability and ingenuity to consistently achieve safe and accurate application through the whole spraying process, then you are in with a chance of winning."
